Question How do I repair cracks in black leather boots?
Just recently bought my wife a pair of used black leather boots and would like any advice on DIY tips on repair of the cracks. I've already treated and ploished them but need to "fill" the cracks

Best Answer You will want to use a wax based black polish, the type that comes in a can. You will want to put the wax on heavily in the cracked areas. Let it dry and then buff it out by hand very lightly. You want to create a smooth texture but still leave the wax there this will fill in the cracks. Then apply a fresh thin coat of the wax polish and buff it out right away. This will allow you to put a shine over the area. Works every time.

Question Is it appropriate to take black leather boots on a cruise?
I'm going on a cruise to the bahamas and they have a teen club type of thing. I live in Chicago, so I'm not sure if it would be weird if I took black leather boots to wear with a gauzy shirt dress type of thing. When I wear it here it looks really nice and cute. I wouldn't wear them during the day or anything, just at night.
