Question Steampunk Halloween costume accessories?
I've already made the dress, found the shoes, ordered some goggles and bought a little brown leather waist-cincher to go over the dress. I also plan to mod a cheap toy gun and paint it bronze. But any ideas for additional accessories? Things I can make on my own, please--I know that there's plenty available online, I'd just rather make it myself.

Question Ladies is there a word for something half way between a corset and a cinch?
there is this item which is a little wider than most cinches but not as big as a corset (about 9 inches top to bottom) it is elasticated with a leather front is it just a 'wide cinch' or a 'small corset' ... or is there a particular term for it

Best Answer I am thinking you are referring to an “Underbust’ corset since you said that it’s smaller than a usual corset and wider than a waist cincher. An underbust corset acts like that of a waist cincher, in fact much more effective and pleasant looking, and is also from the corset family yet it’s smaller since the style starts from below the chest area down to the waist or sometimes hips.
